Tuna Triangles

This was the other treat I made for my little baby and her cousin for Christmas. My dog has an extreme obsession with tuna. If I say the word "tuna" she comes running, so I thought I would give it a whirl with these new treats! I didn't have all the necessary ingredients, so I looked what I could substitute online, and the ingredients I actually used are listed in parenthesis. This recipe comes from Baking For Your Dog, (p. 76)

Tuna Traingles

Ingredients:
* 1 can tuna fish in natural juice (in water)
* 4 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil (2 T. EVOO and 2 T. Veg Oil)
* 1 egg
* 1 tsp. dried thyme (1 tsp. italian seasoning)
* 1 tsp. dried oregano (1 tsp. italian seasoning)
* 9 oz. cornflour (normal flour)
* 5 oz. rolled oats (old fashioned oats)
* 2 oz. flour

Directions:
1. Drain the tuna, then puree it with the 4 T. oil and 1 egg in a blender.

2. Combine 2 t. italian seasonings, 11 oz. flour, 5 oz. oats in separate bowl.

3. Mix the tuna puree with the dry ingredients until it becomes a dough.

4. Preheat oven to 350 and line a baking sheet with parchment (I used foil).

5. Pinch off some of the dough and shape in a triangle, and place on cookie sheet.

6. Bake 25 minutes. Store in cookie tin and they should stay good about 2 weeks.

I was trying to get a "sit" picture, but she jumped up and grabbed the treat right as I pressed click!! Needless to say, they were a BIG HIT!
